Happy Birthday Collin Jakob!

(First I need to mention, my computer screen isn't working, so I can only see this in sunlight, and there is none right now, so I can barely see!)

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Collin! Happy Birthday to you!

My dear Collin! You are a very special boy to me. Little do you know, but after you were born, I went through a really hard time. You are the happiest little boy I know, and sometimes I joke with Daddy, that God took some of my happiness to overfill you with! God used you in a very special way to bring healing.

You have such a tender heart at such a young age. You melted my heart the other night when you came and asked Mommy (out of the blue) - "what do you want for Christmas Mommy?" You also touch Mommy and Daddy when you daily say to us "I love you berry much," or "I miss you berry much."

With a birthday around Christmas, it can sometimes get overshadowed by all the busy-ness, but I promise you, that we will always make your birthday a special one, because you are a very special boy! You are a precious gift to me, and I love you with all my heart Colli-wog!

Love, Mommy

Stay, stay at home, my heart, and rest;
Home-keeping hearts are happiest,
For those that wander they know not where
Are full of trouble and full of care;
To stay at home is best.

Weary and homesick and distressed,
They wander east, they wander west,
And are baffled and beaten and blown about
By the winds of the wilderness of doubt;
To stay at home is best.

Then stay at home, my heart, and rest;
The bird is safest in its nest;
O'er all that flutter their wings and fly
A hawk is hovering in the sky;
To stay at home is best.
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
